The idea of mobOx

We’ve been working on the development of optical methods for the determination of blood parameters for several years within various research projects funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

At the Medical Sensors and Devices Laboratory at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences, we have investigated the complex interaction of light with whole blood and used the insights obtained to train reliable and robust prediction models. Through careful optimization, our AI-based models achieve high robustness under fluctuating environmental conditions, such as temperature changes or vibrations.

This gave rise to the idea of developing a small, mobile analyzer for emergency medical services, which offers the accuracy and reliability of stationary laboratory devices directly at the scene.
